Sustainability

At Sunday Bedding, we’re in the business of helping you rest easy. However, we also recognise the environmental costs of running a business, particularly one that is rooted in textiles production. While we’re not perfect, we’re committed to continuously minimising our environmental impact. We address our impact through three pillars: Sustainable Materials, Transparent Production, and Better Packaging.

With our continuous effort in becoming more sustainable, we are glad to share that we are Climate Neutral Certified in August 2022.

Sustainable Materials

With cotton and polyester making up 90% of the world’s production of textiles, we believe that textiles diversity is the key towards a more sustainable textiles economy. We focus on sourcing materials such as bamboo and linen, which strike a balance between functionality and sustainability.

Transparent Production

From dyeing, post-processing, to cut-and-sew, textiles production encompasses more than just sourcing for materials. To ensure accountability, we only work with partners who meet sustainability and ethical certifications, and aim to share as much information about our suppliers as we can.

Better Packaging

We constantly aim to provide a great brand experience, while being conscious of the amount of packaging used. Currently, our packaging includes alternative materials such as recycled plastic, repurposed deadstock fabric, and water-soluble mailers.

We are Climate Neutral in 2021

In 2023, we measured and removed all of our carbon emission from making and delivering our products in 2021.

Measure

Our total carbon emission in 2021: 712tCO2e

Offset

We take responsibility to offset our total carbon emission that can’t be reduced by investing in the following projects to reach carbon neutrality: Avoiding deforestation, supporting wind energy and capturing landfill gas to reduce emissions.

Reduce

We are implementing a Reduction Action Plan to reduce emissions from our own operations and supply chain:

1. Replace 5% of our factory's energy use with solar energy.

2. Reduce our reliance on non-sustainable packaging for our products and order shipments.
